First I must do Part 2 of my Gnu Foods review. Just a reminder that I was sent their products free of charge to review on my blog. Here is the quote from their website I shared with you last time:
"Gnu Bars are a great healthy snack that pack 12 grams of fiber into one small bar! Each of our bars is made with delicious, all-natural ingredients that keep you feeling great inside and out."
Now for the remaining flavors!
Orange Cranberry Bar:
8.5 of 10. This bar had a strong orange aroma and a poignant orange/cranberry flavor. The cranberry chunks were quite large! The bar was a bit too sweet and tart for me though. This will bar will certainly awaken your senses!
Peanut Butter Bar:
8.5 of 10. This bar had a decent peanut butter aroma, but the peanut flavor could have been stronger and richer. I have to say I'm pretty particular when it comes to peanut butter flavored items - go big or go home :-).
Espresso Chip Bar:
9 of 10. I loved the "coffee" flavor. It wasn't too strong, but it was still bold. The aroma was nice too - as it has been for most of these bars. There was a nice amount of dark chocolate to balance out the coffee. I also liked that it wasn't too sweet. Nice texture, minus the flax seeds. A good breakfast bar if I say so myself :-).
Okay, now for the winner of the Aurorae giveaway! The lucky winner is #14 Rigel Celeste via random.org.
Congrats! I'll be e-mailing you shortly so that I can send your info. to Aurorae!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Espresso chip is so good but I thought the orange cranberry was gross...way too strong of an orange flavor!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the expresso chip bar. It sounds awesome!! Between the ground coffee beans, dark chocolate chips and cocoa powder, I wonder how many milligrams of caffeine are in a bar? I wonder if Gnu knows?! :-) It would be interesting to find out.
ReplyDeletewow, I'd never heard of that brand before -great to know!
ReplyDeleteI used to eat Gnu bars like there was no tomorrow! I liked the flavor with chocolate, but I've never tried the PB flavor! Gah, I must find it!
ReplyDeleteI like the cinnamon raisen ones, but eeekk the lemon gingers ones are not so great :)LOVE all the fiber though
ReplyDeleteOk, congrats to the winner! I guess this means I'll have to pay for them eventually :) They look and sound SO GOOD! The peanut butter one would fit my preferences I'm sure!
