Grits and Zevia winners!

So... a few days ago I decided to make grits in the microwave with a plastic "microwave-safe" container.  Well, after about 5min. (or maybe it was a tad longer) the container was very hot and looked like it was a few more minutes away from melting - not good!  Lesson learned: use glass (or something similar) for prolonged microwave use.  Here's the product of my efforts: grits with blueberries - and it was tasty despite me needing to partially submerge the container in a sink of cold water for awhile ;-)

Okay, now I'll get to the point ;-).  The Zevia winners are (courtesy of random.org): 2 (Sweet and Savory), 21 (Christina), and 14 (PreventionRD)!!  Sweet and Savory was the first number, so she gets the grand prize of an entire mixed case!  Congratulations and Thank You to everyone who participated!!

If you won, please send your address and phone number to me so I can send your info. on to Zevia. Thanks!

  1. haha - I allmost had a similar "microwave-meets-tupperware" incident. Learned my lesson, which - is probably a good one since now they're saying not to microwave plastic containers anyways. It's just so much more convenient :\
    Yummy breakfast and congrats winners!

  5. Grits and blueberries?! Great idea! My college roommate would die if she heard this combination. She loves grits, but only eats it with cheese. I love your addition of blueberries, very clever!
